In the wake of the destruction caused by ice storms, hurricanes, tornadoes,
and damaging winds, Irby Construction Company has the capability to mobilize
personnel and equipment in record time wherever they are needed in order
to restore service.
In the aftermath of
devastating hurricanes such as Andrew and Katrina, tornadoes in Louisiana and Indiana,
and the 1994 ice storm in Mississippi and Louisiana, and the 2002 typhoon in
Guam, Irby crews worked long
hours under adverse conditions to restore power. We are especially proud
of our safety record, for despite challenging environments, these restorations
were accomplished without a major accident.
"Despite the harsh weather conditions, long hours, and the difficulties
surrounding the work to be performed, the dedication and sacrifice exhibited
by your employees was exemplary."
"When I saw the convoys of trucks coming to our aid, my heart was filled
with gratitude. Every day when I commute, I see your dedicated workers tirelessly
putting our utilities back in working order. Thank you!"
